Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American singer and actress is very popular. Sara Ramirez was raised by an American mother, and was subjected to a variety of racist taunts that caused her to feel uncomfortable. It was during her ninth year that she started to feel more confident following her acclaim at an audition. She not only gained confidence from the experience however, she also re-evaluate her career goals. At the age of 22, she graduated the Julliard School of New York. Her professional career began at the age of 23 in Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and the film You've Got Mail. Her greatest break came in her performance as The Lady of The Lake in the first Broadway production of Spamalot. She won the Tony Award and received great appreciation for her performance. The following year, she was cast as the character Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her becoming more famous. A well-known performer, she also has released a song and a play. Also, she's been an advocate for LGBT issues.
