Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American designer and author who has been awarded numerous prizes for her work. She advocates human rights for animals. Her name is well-known for movies like Love Story (1970) Goodbye Columbus (1969) as well as The Getaway (1972). Her desire to be an artist was influenced from her childhood as a member of an New York family of artists. Her first job was as a photographer's assistant, and later moved into modeling and acting. She received her Golden Globe Award, for the most promising debutant. MacGraw's 1970 film Love Story was an international smash, and earned her the Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. The film was recognized as the most successful female box-office actress in the world after only three releases. Handprints, signatures and footprints were made in 1972 by Grauman's Chinese Theater. Other credits are The Getaway Convoy Players, TV miniseries The Winds of War and many more. In 1991, her autobiography Moving Pictures came out. MacGraw married three people.
