Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise was an American actress, performer, and writer, best recognized for her role as Ginger Grant from the TV show Gilligan's Island. Bettle's musical Two's Company was her first stage role in the 50s. Then, she appeared on Broadway in various performances until 1957 in which Li'l abner was huge at the National Theater. In 1957, she also released her debut music album entitled It's Time for Tina. Louise was first seen on the screen in Hollywood as God's Little Acre, a film that was released in the year 1958. She played Griselda who was a character from the film. When she was an undergraduate of Lee Strasberg, she attended the Actors Studio New York. Her next role that she portrayed was Ginger Grant, which CBS hired her to play in the year 1964. Louise had a long and successful career balancing Broadway television with Hollywood and portraying an empathetic, as opposed to the glamorous image that she received. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The series also featured her as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although over the past few years, she's also earned her name as a director who has been successful in numerous well-known TV shows such as Supernatural as well as The 100. She was born in Essex on August 28, 1965 and her family moved to Toronto when she was three where she subsequently spent growing up and in adolescence. Samantha Carter settled in Vancouver, Canada after her selection to play the lead.
