Lita Rossana Ford also known as Lita Ford as she is popularly known, was an American-born British singer and guitarist who led the female-only hard rock band The Runaways during the late 1970s. It was not possible for the group to be an instant hit in the United States, but they gained a lot of attention in other countries and in particular Japan. Ford began a heavy metal solo career when the group was disbanded in 1979. Her debut album as a solo artist was called 'Dancin' on the Edge which was followed by her record Out for Blood. Ford was unable to achieve anything with either of them and remained out of the realm of rock for around an entire decade. The hit album "Lita" was made available by Ford in 1988. Kiss Me Deadly (single) as well as Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were among her biggest hits. The popularity of her was short-lived, and she disappeared for a few years.
